how I grew my client’s Instagram

from 93 to 136,000 followers

with daily sales

Without trends.
Without posting all day.
Without being a “lifestyle influencer.”

I thought the algorithm was the problem…

but it was actually my strategy 😭

I was always a viral trend girly.
I truly believed that if I could just get enough views, then I’d have more eyeballs on my content, which would of course lead to more followers, and then I could sell to them. And honestly, logically… that makes sense, right?

So for years, on and off, while being a single mom, I tried to create content that would go viral. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it didn’t. It was always hit or miss. And the frustrating part? It never really translated into sales. The only content that did create sales was the content I wrote directly to the people in my audience who I knew would actually benefit from my offer.

Side note: at this point, I had already made over 7 figures in my business using automated funnels, live launches and ads, but I felt like I needed to really hop on the social media viral train to keep up.

So to continue selling on social, I was sharing direct sales posts and storytelling that lead to inviting people into my programs.

I’m also a research girlie.

So I would watch people online with massive brands and millions of followers, dig into their strategy and I try so hard to recreate what they were doing. But no matter what I did, it never felt like me. It always felt like I was wearing someone else’s dress. Like I was playing a version of myself that just wasn’t real. Can you relate?!

And I kept thinking, “I know how to do this. I’m smart. I’ve already made a lot of money online.” Because when I first started my business, I grew through automated funnels, live classes, email, and ads. So I thought, okay, I just need to figure out this social media thing too. This is what everyone is doing.

I learned all the strategies. I understood how to do it.

But it still felt like I was putting on a facade to try to win over the algorithm instead of actually connecting with people.

And don’t get me wrong, I love seeing other women win. I truly believe we should always cheer each other on. But deep down I knew… this wasn’t working for me.

What I didn’t realize at the time was that a lot of those creators were posting constantly, tracking everything, recreating viral trends, and basically doing this full-time. And this is super important…a very small percentage of their following was actually buying.

I started to look at the number of followers vs the public launch breakdowns shared and I was like…wait a second??

But of course, I’m trying to do it the “right way” so when I tried to do the same thing, while being a single mom short on time, it just became this watered-down version of me and my message.

So I took a step back.

I focused on my daughter, my life, and what actually mattered to me. I got married 💍, built a beautiful family, and now I have a baby on the way!

And during that season, I started working with a client who had no real social media presence. She was doing all the “right” things — podcasts, blogs, being everywhere — but nothing was selling. She told me she needed to finally figure out social media.

And I decided to do something completely different than I had ever done before. I trusted my gut. I thought, “I’m going to try this a new way.” I just knew it was going to work.

It did.

That’s when I realized I had been wrong about trends for so long. I realized that the more authentic you are, the less you actually have to do.

The less you follow trends, the more you make.

You can make daily sales with a few posts a week when you’re creating the right kind of content and you have the right systems in place to turn that content into sales.

In the last 30 days alone, she gained 30,000 followers. Now she’s growing by thousands every single week. But more importantly, she’s making daily, predictable sales. She’s impacting people, changing lives, and finally seeing her business grow in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.

What this looks like in real life

She doesn’t:

  • follow trends

  • show behind the scenes

  • film any kind of lifestyle content

  • post 3x a day

  • run ads

And it still works.

Because we stopped trying to attract everyone
and started attracting the right people.

Even if that meant fewer views at the beginning.

And once the right people were in front of her, the sales system we had set up on Instagram told them exactly what to buy.

Plus because the right people were already there, when she launched a new offer, buyers were ready to buy and it sold out.

The step by step breakdown

How I grew her account from 93 to 165,000 followers

with daily sales

Step 1: Create content that attracts buyers

I had her create reels specifically designed to stop the scroll, but only for people who would buy her offer. Most people make the mistake of creating lifestyle content or recreating viral trends because they think more views = more sales. But what you actually want are the right people binging, following and buying.

01

step 2: turn your instagram into a sales funnel

I turned her Instagram into a sales funnel so people knew that their next step was to buy her low ticket offer. It’s so fun to watch the DMs come in from people she’s never met who tell her that they bought and are excited to dive in!

02

Step 3: Create 3 new pieces of content a week

She creates only three new pieces of content a week, unless she wants to create more. We keep the content structure the same in every video which compounds her results. So she doesn’t need to make more content! It keeps getting views for days after it’s posted.

03

Step 4: Give people daily opportunities to buy

We remind people every day to buy her low ticket product. We create curiosity which drives DMs and clicks to the sales page. Most creators are making the mistake of either selling so aggressively that people feel like they can’t connect with the person behind the content or they aren’t selling much at all so people don’t even know about their offers. Remember the more you sell, the more you will sell.
